At the initiative of the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Social Sciences, National University of Uzbekistan, a republican scientific and practical conference was held on the topic "Concept of developing the scientific school of Ganiyeva Marifat Khabibovna".
During the conference, the ongoing reforms in the field of social work education and practice, issues requiring attention, were discussed by professors, practitioners, and students. Also, Marifat Ganiyeva, who played an important role in the formation of social work education and practice in Uzbekistan, was remembered.
Marifat Habibovna Ganiyeva is a sociologist who played an important role in the formation and development of the "Social Work" educational direction in our country's higher education system. She made a significant contribution to the theoretical and practical development of this direction, as well as to increasing the importance of social work in the life of society.
The event was attended by representatives of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Center for Strengthening Communities and Developing Social Welfare, the Republican Center for Rehabilitation and Adaptation of Women, and a number of social organizations.
Deputy Director of the Center, Yulduzkhon Umarbekova, delivered a speech on the topic "Prospects of the field of social work: harmony of education and practice", emphasizing the need to develop academic education in social work in accordance with international standards and strengthen the competency-based approach to training.
