A 5-day training course of great importance in the field of social protection began on April 14, 2025. The training was organized based on the analysis of the work carried out by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of social protection in 2024 and the priority tasks set for 2025.

The opening ceremony of the training was attended by Deputy Director of the National Agency for Social Protection - S. Abdullaev, Head of the UNICEF "Protection of Children" Program - A. Lüdeke, Professor of the Columbia University School of Social Work, Director of the Special Department Program - Lyudmila Kim, and Head of the Department for Work with Minors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant Colonel F. Sattarov.

During the training, advanced training will be conducted in 5 modules based on scientifically based methods from Columbia University, international experience, and approaches tested in Uzbekistan.

The program is designed for professionals working with at-risk children and families and aims to develop their professional skills, strengthen interagency cooperation, and protect children from the risk of institutionalization.
